Before joining UT Health East Texas, Misty Fergusson, FNP-C, spent years as a hospital floor nurse working toward her master’s degree. As an AANP-certified family nurse practitioner, she sees patients of all ages.
“I have a lot of nursing experience, and I’ve been involved with a lot of different patients and scenarios. I’m very compassionate about nursing and taking care of individuals.”
Fergusson teaches her patients ways to reduce their risk of disease, guides their use of medications and diagnoses their ailments.
“I love the variety. I like putting the puzzle pieces together to get patients the right diagnosis.”
Her favorite part of healthcare is helping patients feel better again. “Just giving good, solid care to people and seeing them progress. You just want to see people get better and live healthy, full lives.”
