Luke A. Johnson, MPH, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician in Rusk. His original plan was to be an orthopedic surgeon following an injury during his childhood. “During college I became a nursing assistant to get more hands-on experience, which proved to be more impactful than I could imagine.”
Dr. Johnson believes in a balance between the patient and the medical team. “I lean towards a big picture approach on explaining medical decisions through the concept of successful aging, which is geared towards preventing and treating the chronic diseases and stresses that are often a fact of life.”
Dr. Johnson’s personal hobbies include staying physically active, spending time outdoors, traveling and reading.
