Luke A. Johnson, MPH, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician in Rusk. His original plan was to be an orthopedic surgeon following an injury during his childhood. “During college I became a nursing assistant to get more hands-on experience, which proved to be more impactful than I could imagine.”

Dr. Johnson believes in a balance between the patient and the medical team. “I lean towards a big picture approach on explaining medical decisions through the concept of successful aging, which is geared towards preventing and treating the chronic diseases and stresses that are often a fact of life.”

I'm new to the area and lucky to have found Dr Luke Johnson. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Awesome nurse too. They took the time to discuss my care instead of rushing in and out. I didn't have to wait a long time to be seen either.
